7th Grade School Forest Field Trip- Oct.2nd
The entire seventh grade will be going to the Burlington Area School District’s 150-acre school forest. The field trip will take place on Friday, October 2nd, 2026. This experience is an introductory activity for the 7th grade life science curriculum. While in the forest, students will participate in a photographed scavenger hunt, looking for evidence of several items we will discuss further throughout the year. If your student cannot attend, they will receive alternative assignments to complete at school or at home.
Students will leave school at approximately 8:45 a.m. and will return at around 12:30 p.m. Please send a disposable bag lunch with your child, as we will be having a picnic at the school forest. In addition, students need to dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. I would definitely encourage long pants and a sweatshirt or jacket. All students should be wearing tennis shoes or hiking shoes as we will be doing a lot of exploring. Students with specific health conditions must carry their inhalers and EpiPens.
The cost of the field trip is $5. Unfortunately, the district no longer has funds to support free transportation for this opportunity, which means the cost needs to be picked up by students. Please complete this form for your child.
