Families as Partners

Families play an important role in the education of their children. It starts before the child starts school by caring for the student's wellness and taking time to read to the child and helping the child explore their creativity. It continues through supporting the student through their school career and beyond.

Burlington Area School District sees parents and guardians as partners in the education process. We encourage families to volunteer in our schools, read the communication from teachers and principals about the student's progress, attend school events, and ask questions.

Thank you for the privilege to educate your child. We want their experience to be rewarding and start them on a path of lifelong learning. We hope that beyond the classroom, they will find opportunities for leadership and to explore academic, athletic and artistic talents. Further, we hope they will find - in our staff - mentors and coaching that encourage their growth.
