Zoo Field Trip Information

Dear Families, 
 
An all day field trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo has been planned for your child on Friday, May 1st.   This field trip is meant to be an enriching activity to complement our animal research and second grade studies.   The children will observe animal characteristics and behaviors.  
 
Please complete the permission form in Parent Square on or before Friday, April 17th.   Thanks to the generosity of the Winkler PTO and others, the cost for admission and transportation is $10 per student.  Donations to assist other families or for future field trips are welcome.  
 
The buses will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return to Winkler around 2:30 p.m.  Since this is an all day trip, your child will need to bring (or order) a bag lunch and a drink.  (Please remember to write your child’s name on the bag.)  Please do not send any money with your child.  Shopping will not be a part of our field trip experience.   
 
Each second grade class would like to take a few chaperone volunteers to enhance the experience of all of our students. Each chaperone would be assigned a small group and would accompany them on the bus and through the day helping all students make the most of their zoo experiences.  Please contact ​Miss Considine ​to let her know if you are interested in being a chaperone for ​our trip.
