Be a Good Human at Dyer 🧡

Celebrate Kindness, Respect & Community

At Dyer Elementary, we are proud to partner with the City of Burlington’s Be a Good Human initiative. This community-wide effort encourages everyone—kids and adults—to practice kindness, respect, responsibility, and compassion in everyday moments. As part of this work, we are celebrating the many ways our students demonstrate these traits. At our Trimester 1 Assembly, we recognized classrooms whose actions reflected the Burlington Community Core Values and truly showed what it means to “Be a Good Human.”

We Want to Celebrate YOUR Child, Too!

Families are invited to share photos and short descriptions of moments when your student:
  • Helped someone in need
  • Showed kindness or empathy
  • Made a responsible choice
  • Stood up for a peer
  • Demonstrated respect toward others
  • Made a positive impact in your home or in the community
  • Participated in service or volunteer activities
  • Showed leadership or teamwork
These moments can be big or small — every act of goodness matters.

How to Share

Please email your photo(s) and a brief explanation of what your child did to your child's classroom teacher.

Together, We Grow Good Humans
