What is Student Services?
BHS's Student Services Team works within the three domains of academics, career, and social-emotional well being. School Counselors are here to help remove barriers to learning for all students. Students will meet with their school counselor every year to develop and update their Individual Learning Plan (ILP). With this plan, the student, parent/ guardian and the school couselor will discuss academics and career pathways for your student's post secondary plan. The post-secondary plan may include pathways to a 2 or 4-year college, apprenticeship, military enlistment, or entering the workforce.
In addition to college and career advising the staff in Student Services can provide social-emotional support to students. Students can email their counselor for a time to meet or in cases of crisis can stop in to Student Services to speak with someone.
The Student Services office is a great resource for all students. So stop by and get to know your School Counselor!
