Gateway Academies
The Burlington Area School District is happy to partner with Gateway Technical College to offer enrollment in Gateway Academies. Gateway gives students the opportunity to explore high-demand fields and earn college credit before graduating high school – all at no cost to you. When you receive BHS approval to sign up for a High School Academy, Burlington Area School District agrees to pay the cost of materials, accident insurance, textbooks as well as tuition and fees for the entire academy. For families, this comes to an average savings of $2,430.53! All Academy offerings are subject to change at any given moment for any reason, including instructor availability or low enrollment.

Gateway Welding Academy On-Site at BHS!
As of the 2024-2025 school year, BHS is thrilled to have our very own section of the Gateway Welding Academy on-site in our BHS tech labs! During the school day for the full school year, a Gateway instructor teaches the same course offerings that are part of the Gateway Welding Academy, and upon completion (with all passing grades), students earn their Welding Maintenance & Fabrication Technical Diploma. Interested students should speak with their counselor to see if this opportunity aligns with their career pathway and schedule!
