Project Active Citizen - The PAC House

Project Active Citizen (PAC) Program educates beyond 18-year-olds with special needs. The program takes place at a residential house to help transition students become responsible citizens in the community. This is a partnership between the Burlington Area School District and Waterford Union High School.

Throughout the school year, students participate in job training exercises building their confidence and sense of responsibility. Students go on several community-based educational experiences to learn in the community by visiting different employers and attractions in the SE Wisconsin areas.

PAC Program students raise funds to support student activities through selling dog biscuits and an annual garage sale.

Resources for PAC House Families

Students are required to bring an ID. Visit the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles to apply for an ID card. (Link to Form).

KTown Transportation - provides non-medical transportation
The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Racine County connects older adults and people with physical or intellectual/developmental disabilities with reliable information about a broad range of programs and services

Wishlist

The community can support the PAC House with donations. Students often need cardstock, markers, and other supplies. The PAC House organizes a Rummage Sale and a dog biscuit fundraiser to offset the cost of student day trips and activities.
