| Exciting Playground Update! |
|
Waller is thrilled to announce that a brand-new playground set will be installed this year! Below is a picture of the equipment, which will be located on the kindergarten side of the school. A large portion of the cost was covered by funds raised through our "Reading for Education" fundraiser. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, and we hope your family will join us in participating again! Next week, your child will bring home a lanyard with instructions on how to get involved. When it comes home, please take a moment to review the information together. We can’t wait to see our students enjoying the new playground very soon!

Mornings can be especially busy during drop-off, particularly on late start Wednesdays. While waiting in the car line, please remember to:
- Keep crosswalks clear
- Do not pass in the "No Passing Zone"
Thank you for helping us ensure all students arrive safely to school!

Did You Know?
Being late 10 minutes each day could result in 30 hours of lost learning time during a school year.
Missing just 2 days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year.
Tardiness and early dismissal constitute being absent for part of a school day.

Make it a priority for your child to attend school each day.
Establish a school routine to teach students that going to school and being on time is necessary for their
academic and social success.
child is absent.
Make a Plan
Plan vacations during school breaks.
Set a routine for leaving the house on time so your child is not late.
Schedule appointments after school hours, when possible.
Bring your child back to school after their appointment, if there are still hours left in the school day.
If an absence is unavoidable, let the school know ahead of time so staff can gather assignments your child needs to complete to stay caught up.
Partner with the School
