My name is Wendy Lyon. I have been in education for 25+ years.   I have been at BASD since 2019.  I have been a Special Education aide and a Kindergarten teacher before becoming a Math Specialist in the district.  Before coming to BASD, I was a classroom teacher in Muskego-Norway Schools for 22 years, teaching grades 2/3 and 3/4 multi-age classrooms, grade 3, and Kindergarten.    I attended UW-Whitewater for my undergraduate degree in Elementary/Middle education with a dance performance minor.  I received my Master’s degree as a Master Educator from Marian College.

My family lives in Burlington.  I love the fact that I work in the community that I live in.  My husband, Eric, and I have 1 son, Jake, who is attending UW Madison, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  My hobbies include baking, crossword puzzles, going "up north", and seeing live music.  I am so excited to be a part of your child's learning journey.
